Today, April 17, 2025, the pad for my shed was completed. The guys did a terrific job. Excavated, pressure treated surrond installed, leveled and compacted existing dirt, fabric installed, then crushed stone also compacted. The result? An absolutely perfect installation at a reasonable price. Am a highly satisfied customer.

I just wanted to take a moment to share my experience with Site Prep and the incredible team behind it.

I originally reached out to them through their website (www.siteprep.com) for a quote on a crushed stone pad for a storage shed in our backyard. To my surprise, within 16 hours, Ed had sent me a detailed PDF quote along with clear instructions on the next steps—how to schedule an appointment, secure a deposit, and even some links to videos showing their installation process.

When I called with a few additional questions, Ed was patient, knowledgeable, and more than willing to walk me through everything. Feeling confident in their professionalism, I submitted my deposit.

Soon after, Sam reached out to schedule the installation. He even had an opening the following week! (I was lucky to call toward the end of the off-season, but it still speaks volumes about their efficiency.) Since I was tied up with work, I opted for an appointment the following month. The next step was to receive a confirmation call from the foreman.

Then, disaster struck.

A series of intense rainstorms hit New York, causing flash floods in my area. The space we had marked off for the shed—and even parts of the shed itself—slid down an embankment at the back of our property. It was a complete mess. I was devastated and, unfortunately, had no choice but to cancel my appointment with Site Prep.

Feeling awful about the sudden cancellation, I left Sam a voicemail apologizing profusely for taking up their time. I let him know that if we were ever able to rebuild the area with a retaining wall, I would love to use their services in the future. Sam called me back almost immediately—not just to say he understood, but to work on processing a refund of my deposit.

Now, I can’t personally speak to their on-site work since we never made it to that stage (though if you check other reviews, you’ll see why I hired them in the first place!). But what I *can* speak to is the quality of the people behind the company. Despite being a business with a large service area, every single person I interacted with was professional, considerate, hardworking, and above all, honest.

It’s rare to find a company that embodies the phrase ‘salt of the earth’, but Site Prep absolutely does. Their communication, integrity, and commitment to customer service make trusting them an easy decision. If you’re considering working with them, I can say with full confidence that you’ll be in excellent hands.

We received a quote for a site prep excavation for a new shed that we purchased, and there was some miscommunication between myself, the customer and the business. It was addressed extremely quickly, and they offered to make it right and make me a happy customer, which I definitely am. I would highly recommend them for your Site prep excavation projects.

met with Ritchie this morning, walked through the layout for the gazebo and made some positioning adjustments. very pleased with the work completed.

The company installing our shed recommended Site Prep for our foundation. The end to end process was easy, from working out a custom quote with Ed, scheduling with Sam and then Marcus and AJ executing on the actual install. AJ was courteous, and sought feedback/approval throughout the job. Pad was done in less than 3 hours. We appreciate the flexibility in scheduling as we welcomed a new family member during this process. Would recommend Site Prep to anyone who needs these services.

With my newly installed shed site pad, the work was performed with detail and structural integrity every step of the way. On site, Jesse and his team worked professionally and efficiently, and they very politely took the time to answer any questions I had. Phone conversations with other employees including Ed and Sam were met with the utmost respect and professionalism. They scheduled my job at my convenience as I had preferred to wait a few weeks before starting the project. On construction site day, the crew arrived on schedule and worked extremely hard to finish the job with efficiency and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the job upon completion.
